Center Supports

Each day treatment center has a program coordinator, an assistant program coordinator, and a clinical supervisor. In a traditional public school setting, these positions would be called a principal, assistant principal and school psychologist. These three highly trained professionals provide support and leadership for all of the educational and mental health services provided in the center.

Speech language pathologists provide consultation to staff and services to students who have communication challenges. Other related services can be sought as needed and appropriate. Rounding out the center’s team is the full-time nurse, a clinical associate, an office manager, a clerical assistant, para-professionals, and a custodian.

The center staff is also supported by other central office personnel in consulting and direct service roles such as vocational services, psychiatric consultation, clinical consultation, and staff development. Staff members are intensively trained and equipped with the skills to provide a safe and nurturing environment for students. They are invested in the success of the students and work creatively and diligently to lead the children and youth toward success.

I felt we worked with the PEP staff as a seamless team. Our son could no longer tell the school one thing and me another. We were able to transfer what happened in school to home. He was getting the same message from all the adults who cared about him. I can still remember the first call when they told me my son had a good day. I had stopped answering the phone afraid that it would be the school calling to tell me about the trouble my son had caused. But with PEP, I could start answering the phone again; I knew I was going to be helped.
