Government Affairs Director

Nosek John Nosek has been employed at Positive Education Program (PEP) since 1999 and currently serves as the agency’s Government Affairs Director. Since 2001, Mr. Nosek has been President of the Council of Agency Directors, a trade association of both child and adult mental health providers in Cuyahoga County. Mr. Nosek served on the Board of Voices for Ohio’s Children since its inception as the Coalition for Greater Cleveland’s Children in 1996 through 2011. He serves on the executive steering committee of the Mental Health Advocacy Coalition and participates in various ad hoc community task forces related to mental health issues. His particular interests include services for transitional youth and government accountability for health and human services in general.

In 2008 Mr. Nosek was recognized as a United Way Spotlight Volunteer. The previous year he was the recipient of Beech Brook’s Suzanne Brookhart Harrison Award for Exceptional Services to Children. He holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Cleveland State University.
