Integrated Special Education & Mental Health Services

Through integrated special education and mental health services, Positive Education Program (PEP) is able to provide individualized care to children and youth experiencing emotional disturbances and demonstrating severe and challenging behaviors. PEP¡¯s dedicated professionals are experts in creating and utilizing programming that addresses both the social emotional and academic learning needs of PEP¡¯s special population. Using a strength-based model of care, PEP serves children and youth of all ages, from pre-kindergarten through early adulthood.

The primary object of PEP¡¯s integrated special education and mental health services is to enable children and youth to succeed in the least restrictive environment, ideally his or her own school district. In collaboration with families and schools, PEP helps young people develop skills necessary for success in school and in life. PEP operates several programs to help school districts meet the needs of their most challenging students.
