Early Childhood Centers

Since 1976, Positive Education Program (PEP) has been operating Early Childhood Centers (ECC) to help children from birth through kindergarten with serious behavioral difficulties. Utilizing a strength-based model of care, PEP professionals provide short-term integrated educational and therapeutic services to the child and the family. In collaboration with families and school districts, PEP ECCs help children develop skills necessary for success in school and in life.

  • PEP Early Childhood Special Education Center-Based Services are provided to preschool and kindergarten children with serious behavioral challenges. Children are placed in classrooms where they participate in readiness activities, and families are taught skills necessary to help their young child succeed.
  • PEP Early Childhood Mental Health (ECMH) Services are designed for families with children birth to age 3 who are experiencing, or at risk of, serious social-emotional or behavioral challenges. The program combines center-based activities with home and community visits to ensure the family is receiving the supports necessary to promote positive growth and development in the child.
